We can also use vegetable oils used, as well as animal fats, coming from an industrial process called transesterification
Transesterification basically consist in mixing vegetable oil or fats with an alcohol (which is generally the methanol) and a alkali (caustic sauda). After a definite rest time, bio-diesel, by settling, part from its by-product, the glycerol.
Glycerol has many uses, for agriculture, medicine, cosmetic and food. The one we extract from this process can be sold as is or can be transformed in other products with high added value ( cosmetic for livestock, sheep dip, soluble oil for machinery, liquid soap and solid of glycerin), it can also be used ( in large quantity), to obtain industrial or pharmaceutical glycerin.
It can be directly used with any kind of Diesel engine, without any need of modification
As it possesses some similar properties as diesel oil, both products can mix, what ever the proportions are, without any problem.
Bio-diesel is an ideal alternative for the decline of green house gaz discharge, in marine areas, national parc and above all in big cities, such as in the United-States, that use it for public transport.
Profitability widely exceed the 1000 US$- per year and per Hectare.
If we invest 10.000.000 US$, we will have a return on investment in the order of 5 million dollars per year, from the third year. In two years, the redemption is total.
